Foundations comes to North America for the first time in June 2026, for its 23rd iteration, after conferences spanning three decades held in various locations throughout Europe. As with the successful recent meetings in Paris (2021), Bristol (2023), and Gdansk (2025), the conference will bring together scholars with a mix of disciplinary backgrounds for stimulating and fruitful discussions of the foundations of physics. The Foundations of Physics conference series is presented in coordination with the Philosophy of Physics Society.

The call for submissions is now closed and all decisions will be announced as of March 24th. Registration is open, with an early-bird discount applying until April 15. Registration will close on May 22nd.

Registration fees are as follows:

$200 for Full Registration ($180 before April 15)

$100 for Student / Global South registration ($80 before April 15)

Discounted Student / Global South registration is allowed for participants who are currently enrolled in a graduate program (MA, PhD, or equivalent), or whose primary academic affiliation is outside of the U.S., Canada, Western Europe, Australia, and New Zealand. All other registrants should select Full Registration.

Registration cost includes conference dinner on June 17.
